Makeuptips för mogna damer

Dr.Hauschka ger lite råd i sitt senaste nyhetsbrev:

Perfectly Groomed: Make-up for Mature Skin

The art of make-up is as old as mankind. Whereas in ancient times people decorated their faces with colour for ritual reasons, today the objective is to emphasise one’s own personality. If your skin is more mature, there are a few little things you should bear in mind – Dr.Hauschka Esthetician Gerlinde Frank offers practical advice.

1. Less is more
In general the rule is: for mature skin, less is more. Women over forty often radiate a remarkable dignity and vitality by virtue of the traces life has etched on their faces. It would be a pity to conceal these completely under make-up. Decorative cosmetics are only truly bewitching when they gently and subtly enhance the individual beauty of a face.

2. Foundation
The purpose of a good foundation is above all to emphasise the good points of facial contour, eyes and lips. Undesirable shadows and irregularities recede into the background.
Use the Dr.Hauschka Concealer that matches your own skin tone. With its mineral pigments in three shades it tones down and disguises problem areas like blemishes, shadows under the eyes or irregular pigmentation. Concealer can be applied specifically to reddened areas (couperose skin), but be careful to blend well.

Next apply Dr.Hauschka Translucent Make-up by hand or using a little sponge. Choose a shade that matches the skin tone of your face and neck.

Finally, apply Dr.Hauschka Translucent Face Powder loose to your face and eyelids using the applicator supplied or a powder brush. This makes it easier to apply eyeshadow and mascara and keeps them in place.
3. Eyes
It is best to use eyeshadow in matt tones, for example the colours of the Dr.Hauschka Eyeshadow Palettes. Glitter particles, in contrast, emphasise little wrinkles and lines and are therefore not so suitable.

Make your eyes look bigger and fresher by shading the fold of the upper lid in the shape of a banana, starting at the outer corner, using a darker shade such as No. 03 Soft Grey from the Dr.Hauschka Eyeshadow Palette. Apply a light shade to the moving part of the lid, e.g. No. 02 Light Brown. Draw a thin line along the edge of your upper lid in Dr.Hauschka Kajal 02 Soft Grey or Kajal 04 Soft Brown. Finally, apply Dr.Hauschka Volume Mascara 04 Pearl Anthracite to your lashes.

4. Accentuate
Match the shade of your rouge to your chosen lipstick, taking your hair colour into consideration (does it have a cool or warm tone?) when choosing the colour. Harmonising colours are very elegant. In general the rule is: For a natural-looking make-up the rouge should be hardly noticeable, just a hint of a natural blush. This makes the face appear softer and younger.

To make the transition more subtle, mix Dr.Hauschka Rouge Powder 02 Natural Red or Rouge Powder 03 Blushing Rosé with face powder and apply to the cheekbones using a brush.

5. Lips
Be careful to avoid lip colours that are too striking or iridescent. Softer tones make you look more youthful.

Outline your lip contours evenly with a Lipliner before emphasising your lips with a lipstick in a matching shade. The Lipliner not only helps keep the lipstick in place for longer, it prevents lipstick bleeding into the fine lines around the lips. Possible combinations include Dr.Hauschka Lipliner 01 Brown with Lipstick 09 Transparent Brown, or Lipliner 03 Soft Rosé with Lipstick 07 Transparent Pink.
